Our story

At the end of 2016, @Claire Suellentrop and @Georgiana Laudi left their final in-house roles as marketing leaders of fast-growing SaaS companies — Gia up north in Montreal, Claire down south in Atlanta.

Shortly afterward, we met in a Facebook group for women in tech (shoutout to early-days Tech Ladies). Both looking to expand our networks to support our fledgling consulting businesses, we connected for a call. It quickly became clear that we shared philosophies on the practice of marketing:

  1. The customer’s experience should influence everything.
  2. Marketing isn’t a “funnel” that stops when a customer purchases a product. Instead, it’s a function that supports every stage of the customer’s journey — from the customer first realizing they have a problem and need a solution, aaaaall the way through to becoming a raving fan and loyal lifer.

“Let’s keep in touch, it could be cool to collaborate on a project or something one day,” we agreed.

Fast-forward to the summer of 2017: we found ourselves in Boston for WistiaFest (RIP) to hang with industry friends.

Over iced coffees in the hotel lobby, we decided to launch a co-marketing project together: a free, weekly series of video workshops in which we’d share everything we knew about marketing and growing startups.

We’d call it Forget The Funnel. It would be a great source of consulting client leads, we believed.

It became so much more.

In the years following, Forget The Funnel has grown far beyond our original vision.

It’s become a huge library of free resources to help people grow SaaS businesses.

It’s helped us turn our shared marketing philosophies into a reliable, repeatable business growth framework (called the Customer-Led Growth Framework) that provides a fast-track to knowing exactly where to focus to achieve sustainable, customer-led growth.

And in order to help founders & executives, in-house growth leaders, and fellow consultants & freelancers leverage the Customer-Led Growth Framework...Forget The Funnel has, most importantly, become a team.

Now is a magical time to join that team: we're still small, and every single team member makes a massive impact. Check out our open roles below. ↓
